TT ISO-Cab Sets
Die Iso-Cabs sind ausgelegt für den Einsatz im (Home)Studio und
Livebetrieb aber auch zur Verwendung als reine Lautsprecherbox.
Erreicht wird dies durch ein Zweiteilung, bei der das Unterteil
aus einer normalen Lautsprecherbox besteht und das Oberteil die
eigentliche Dämpfungseinheit darstellt. Im Vergleich zu einer Standard
Lautsprecherbox ist die Box, die in unseren Iso-Cab Sets zum Einsatz
kommt etwas modifiziert um eine sehr gute Abdichtung des Innen/Schallraums
nach Aussen zu ermöglich. Wird der Dämpfungsaufsatz entfernt kann
das Unterteil als normale Lautsprecherbox betrieben werden.
Die Aufstellung kann sowohl vertikal erfolgen - was zu bevorzugen
ist und auch weniger Platz einnimmt und im (Heim)Studio die besten
Lösung darstellt - also auch horizontal. Bei einer horizontalen
Aufstellen ist eine zusätzliche Sicherung der beiden Teile sinnvoll
und kann durch einen Spanngurt oder durch Verbindungsschlösser,
die auf Wunsch mit dem Set zusammen vormontiert geliefert werden,
erfolgen. Der Nachteil bei den Verbindungsschlössern ist, dass hierbei
ein Teil des Schlosses auf der eigentlichen Lautsprecherbox montiert
werden muss, was möglicherweise optisch nicht ganz so gut aussieht,
aber eine stabile und feste Verbindung sicherstellt.
Der Lautsprecheranschluss selbst befindet sich seitlich, der Anschluss
für das Mikro auf der Oberseite bzw. hinten.
Das Anwendungsgebiet der Iso-Cabs ist vielfältig. Nicht nur für
reine Recording-Sessions, bei denen ein Röhrenverstärker weit ausgefahren
werden soll um einen bestmöglichen Klang zu erreichen sondern auch
für Bühnen/Liveeinsatz. Durch die in sich geschlossene Einheit kann
der Verstärkerklang ohne störenden Umgebungsgeräusche und Trittschall
problemlos abgenommen werden. Weiterhin kann der Verstärker hierbei
auch wieder weiter ausgefahren werden als im Normalfall ohne dass
hierbei die Backline zu laut wird und probleme verursacht.
Wichtig !
Zu beachten ist, dass die Lautsprecherbox auf der Oberseite zwar
für eine feste Verbindung mit der Dämpfungseinheit modifiziert ist,
aber selbst keine weitere Dämpfung beinhaltet. Würde in diese Box
ebenfalls eine zusätzliche Schallisolation eingebracht werden, dann
verändert sich der Klang der Box was zu einer beeinträchtigung im
Stand-Alone Betrieb führen kann. Soll die Lautsprecherbox auch ohne
den Dämpfungsaufsatz betrieben werden, sollte man auf die zusätzliche
Isolation dieser Einheit verzichten. Wird diese hingegen als reine
Recording-Lösung eingesetzt ist eine weitere Isolation - was zugleich
einer zusätzlichen Dämpfung des Schalls und somit der Lautstärke
nach aussen hin entspricht - optionla möglich.
Standard und ECO Ausführung
Für manche Anwender ist die Optik wichtig, für andere wiederum nicht.
Aus diesem grund bieten wird den Iso-Cab Set sowohl in Standardausfühung
also auch in ECO-Ausführung an. Der Unterschied ist, dass bei der
Standard beide Gehäusen mit Tolex bezogen sind sowie einen Frontbespannung
an der Schallwand angebracht ist und bei der ECO kein Bezug erfolgt
sondern ein schwarzer Anstrich und die Frontbespannung komplett
entfällt. Ansonsten sind beide Sets von der Funktion und der Dämpfung
her gleich. Auch macht es klnaglich keinen Unterschied ob diese
mit Tolex überzogen sind oder nicht.
Grösse
Es sind drei Grössen möglich:
- Small:basierend auf der TT112Britisch, welche eine sehr kompakte
und raumsparende Lösung darstellt. Zu empfehlen bei reinen Recording-Anwendungen
- Medium: basierend auf der Grösse der TT112Studio, aber mit Birkenholz.
Grösseres Volumen als bei der Small-Ausführung und zu empfehlen
wenn sowohl Recording als auch reiner Lautsprecherbetrieb gewünscht
wird.
- Large: basierend auf der TT212Britisch, aber nur mit einem 12"
Ausschnitt. Diese Lösung ist zu empfehlen wenn primär ein reiner
Lautsprecherbetrieb gewünscht wird und nur gelegentlich der Dämpfungsaufsatz
verwendung findet.
Nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten sind Lautsprecher und externe Anschlusskabel.
Alle anderen Bau- und Zubehörteile sind enthalten, darunter auch
der interne Mikrofonhalt.

Iso-Cab Set
Iso-Cabs are designed for use in (home) studios and live shows;
as well as use purely as normal speaker cabs. This is achieved by
splitting the box in two.
The lower half is a normal speaker cab, and the upper half contains
the actual isolation. The cabinet used in our iso-cabs is, compared
to a standard cab, slightly modified to ensure a very high level
of sound suppression. The basic speaker-cab can be used as a normal
cab by removing the upper half.
The box can be set up vertically - the preferred orientation, which
also uses less space and is the best solution in the (home) studio;
or it may be set up horizontally. When used horizontally, it is
recommended that the two halves be fastened securely together, for
example with a belt or with catches, which can be mounted on the
box during manufacure if desired.
The disadvantage of catches is that one section of the catch must
be mounted on the speaker cabinet, which may not be the best looking
solution, but provides a stable and firm connection. The loudspeaker
connection itself is on the side. The connection for the microphone
is on the top (resp. back).
The Iso-Cab can be used in many ways. Not only can it be used for
pure recording sessins, where a tube amplifier is run at full power
so as to produce the best possible tone, it is also useful for live
performances. The acoustically sealed unit can be mic'd without
any extraneous noise.
Furthermore, as in a recording studio, the amplifier can be run
at higher volume levels as normal without the backline being too
loud and causing problems.
It is important to note that although the loudspeaker
cabinet is modified on the top side for a good connection with the
isolating unit, but the loudspeaker cab itself contains no additional
isolation material, as this might change the sound of the cab negatively
when used standalone. If the cab is to be used without the isolation
box, then the loudspeaker half should not be isolated. If on the
other hand, the Iso-Box is to be used strictly for recording, then
additional insulation, leading to better suppression and lower volume
outside of the box, is optionally available.
Standard and ECO Versions
Aesthetics are important for some users, for others less so. For
this reason, the Iso-Cab is offered in a standard configuration
as well as an ECO-version.
The difference is that in the standard version, the cabinet is covered
with Tolex, and the speaker baffle is covered with grill cloth,
while the ECO version is finished in a simple black color and the
grill cloth is omitted.
Otherwise, the two versions are identical. The sound is also unaffected
by the presence or absence of Tolex and grill cloth.
Sizes
Three sizes are possible:
- Small: based on the TT 112 British, which is very compact and
space-saving. Recommended for pure recording uses.
- Medium: based on the TT 112 Studio, but made from birch ply.
The cabinet volume is larger than the small size, and is recommended
when the cab is to be used both live as a pure speaker cab as
well as for recording sessions.
- Large: based on the TT 212 British, but with a single 12" speaker
cutout. This version is recommended when the Iso-Cab is to be
used primarily as a normal cab, and will be used only occasionally
for recording.
Speakers and external cables are not included.
All other components, including the microphone stand (without a
microphone), are included. |
Reine ISO-Extension
Durch das Konzept unserer Iso-Cabs ist es auch möglich eine vielzahl von
anderen Boxen in ein ISO-Cab umzuwandeln. Hierfür wird nur die eigentliche
Dämpfungseinheit benötigt, welche dann auf die vorhandene Box angepasst
wird. Dennoch sollte man sich vor dem Kauf der Dämpfungseinheit mit uns
in Verbindung setzten um zu klären ob die bereits vorhandene Lautsprecherbox
problemlos mit dem Iso-Aufsatz betrieben werden kann, dann hierbei gibt es verschiedene
Dinge zu beachten.
Die ISO-Extensions werden einzeln auf die Grösse der bereits vorhandenen
Box angepasst. |

Pure ISO-Extension
The concept behind our Iso-Cabs makes it possible to transform many other cabs
into Iso-Cabs. All that is required is the isolation unit, which can then be
fastened to the existing box. You should first contact us before ordereing an
isolation unit, so that it may be determined if the cabinet can be used without
problems with a ISO-unit, as a variety of factors must be considered.
All ISO-Extension will be made based upon the size of the customers
existing speaker-cab. |
